    Christian and I met back in 2022 during a church event in Canada. Funny thing, neither of us, deep down wanted to go, but were encouraged to go by friends and loved ones. So we got excited about the event and went. The event lasted 3 days and we met on the second day. 

    Our connection continued as long distance because he was living in the US and I in Canada. We met in person on several occasions, and one day in 2023, his family and I planned a surprise birthday party for him. I flew down as a surprise visit and kept planning with his family in the background without him knowing, or, so I thought. 

    The day of his surprise birthday party was actually my surprise engagement party. They got me good. I never suspected that while I was planning his surprise party, he had been planning for months with his family and my friends and family, our engagement. It was beautifully planned down to the very last detail. My friends and family flew down from Canada to celebrate with us. From there, we started planning our wedding. We had an intimate wedding in the United States in December and had our big wedding in Canada in May of the following year. 
    For the intimate wedding, I wore a dress I purchased last minute on the internet, but for my big wedding, I wanted my dream dress. I had an idea for months what I really wanted but wasn’t able to find it in the Montreal bridal stores. One day, my sister booked me an appointment at La Maison Bridal Boutique in Ottawa. What an experience. There I found out that designer Noor Alkhalili could design my dream dress. My dream dress!! The one I’ve always wanted and had been searching for. I remember leaving the store knowing this was the place I would get my dress and I did! My designer experience was amazing. She listened to my ideas, drew and designed my dress exactly how I wanted. She gave input and added her experience, expertise and knowledge to my design and together we created a dress that people still talk about today. My dream dress. 

    My sister had been excitingly booking appointments at bridal stores for me, when she fell upon your website on Google. I remember her saying we have to go to this store. Although it was almost a 2 hour drive from my place, we woke up early and went, and I can say, I do not regret it.

    I always wanted something complex. A non puffy ball gown, kinda A-line style but starting at my waist, with designs on the dress but not too much to over power it. Florals, but not too much. And for the top half of the dress and the bottom half to match as if the top was melting into the bottom half. 

    Let’s not forget my train. A cathedral train was a must! 
    For my first appointment, I met a very nice young lady. ( I am terrible with names, I apologize) but she was amazing! Every appointment, she was there to help me. At my first appointment she asked me about my idea and helped me look around the store and choose dresses to try on. With her help, I tried on a few but none was THE dress. Until I tried on a certain dress that had similar fit to what I was looking for. I remember saying out loud something like « well if I don’t find anything, I will go with this one. It's not bad. I like the design, I just wish the train was longer…

    Hearing me, the young lady approached me and said to me something like “it’s your wedding day, you deserve to wear the dress you’ve always wanted, not a plan B. Did you know, we have a designer that can make the dress you’ve always wanted” 

    I can say, I wanted out of that dress asap and wanted to hear more details of this designer. She gave me more information and that’s what concluded my first appointment and started my dream dress journey.

    I knew because The designer Noor designed it with me every step of the way. 
    As an RN who’s worked with aggressive and unpredictable patients, I sometimes like to control things, but not with Noor. She gave me that confidence, that ease when we first met. I knew things would be just perfect leaving everything in her hands. 

    I’ve been recommending you all and talking out loud about MY DESIGNER to whomever wants to hear. 

    If you want your dream dress, the one you’ve always imagined yourself walking down the aisle in, get it done by Noor. She won’t disappoint.
